   This &lt;a href="http://www.cs.tut.fi/~jkorpela/quirks-mode.html" title="what happens in quirks mode?" rel="nofollow"&gt;link&lt;/a&gt; might be getting old, but it discusses certain things that browsers specifically do in Quirks mode (esp. IE).</description>
